Summary

In this chapter, we discussed the installation of Siebel server software on Microsoft Windows-based operating systems. Siebel CRM is rich in features and we also took the time to have a closer look at the feature offerings of the installers.

In addition to installing the files for the Siebel Gateway Name Server, the Siebel Server, and the Siebel Web Server Extension, we learned how to use the Environment Verification Tool (EVT) to check the system environment before continuing with the software configuration.

Instructions on downloading and applying patch sets finalized the discussion of installing Siebel CRM server software on Microsoft Windows.
